Rashmika Mandanna has revealed that she spent an entire year asking Vijay Deverakonda to marry her. The actress made the playful confession in the newly released trailer for Koffee With Karan Season 9, where the newlyweds appear together as guests on Karan Johar’s celebrity talk show.
The October 18 promo also features Rashmika choosing Allu Arjun over Ranbir Kapoor during the show’s popular rapid-fire segment.
Rashmika Reveals How She Proposed to Vijay
During their conversation, Johar asks the couple who initiated the marriage proposal.
Vijay reveals that Rashmika repeatedly brought up marriage, joking that she had asked him around 100 times.
When Johar questions whether she really proposed that often, Rashmika responds, “I asked him for a year.”
Vijay then humorously defends himself as Johar reacts to the revelation.
The couple married on February 26, 2026, in Udaipur, celebrating their Telugu and Kodava traditions.
Why Rashmika Chose Allu Arjun Over Ranbir Kapoor
The trailer also previews a rapid-fire question asking Rashmika to choose between two of her prominent co-stars.
She picks Allu Arjun, with whom she starred in the Pushpa films, over Ranbir Kapoor, her co-star in the 2023 blockbuster Animal.
Another amusing exchange occurs when Johar asks Vijay which actress shares the best on-screen chemistry with him apart from Rashmika.
Before he can respond, Rashmika declares, “Nobody.” Vijay jokingly agrees, suggesting that agreeing with one’s wife is an important marriage rule.
When Will Their Koffee With Karan Episode Release?
The couple’s appearance follows their recent reunion in Ranabaali, released on October 16. They previously worked together in Geetha Govindam (2018) and Dear Comrade (2019).
Their episode will stream on JioHotstar on October 22, 2026, as part of the show’s ninth and final season.
