Rajinikanth’s Jailer 2 has crossed the ₹300 crore milestone at the worldwide box office in just three days, reaching an estimated ₹317.15 crore by Saturday, October 17, 2026. The Nelson Dilipkumar-directed sequel registered a strong Saturday recovery after experiencing a decline on Friday, while international markets continued to contribute heavily to its earnings.

Jailer 2 Box Office Day 3: Worldwide Collection Breakdown
The film’s three-day India net collection now stands at ₹144.60 crore, while domestic gross earnings have reached ₹169.65 crore.
Overseas collections added another ₹47.50 crore on Saturday, pushing the international total to ₹147.50 crore.
Together, these figures bring the worldwide gross to ₹317.15 crore, approximately ₹103.50 crore higher than its reported two-day total.
Tamil Version Leads Saturday’s Recovery
The Tamil version remained the biggest contributor, earning ₹34.60 crore net on Saturday. Telugu followed with ₹8.50 crore, while Hindi collected ₹4.25 crore and Kannada added ₹45 lakh.
Interestingly, overseas markets account for approximately 46.5% of the worldwide collection, demonstrating Rajinikanth’s considerable international drawing power.
The performance is particularly notable because major multiplex chains PVR INOX and Cinepolis reportedly declined to screen the film across North India over disagreements concerning its theatrical-to-streaming release window.
Can Jailer 2 Maintain Its Momentum?
Produced by Sun Pictures, Jailer 2 reunites Rajinikanth with Nelson Dilipkumar following their successful 2023 collaboration.
Saturday’s recovery indicates renewed theatrical momentum, although the film’s Sunday performance and weekday collections will determine how effectively it sustains its opening success.
With more than ₹317 crore already collected worldwide, the sequel has established an impressive early foundation.
