Music composer Anirudh Ravichander and Sunrisers Hyderabad CEO Kavya Maran are officially preparing to tie the knot. After months of speculation surrounding their relationship, the Telangana Chief Minister’s Office has confirmed that the couple’s wedding reception will take place in Chennai on November 21, 2026.
The announcement came on October 16, when Kavya’s parents, Sun Group chairman Kalanithi Maran and Kavery Maran, met Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy at his Jubilee Hills residence.
Anirudh and Kavya’s Wedding Reception Date Confirmed
The Telangana CMO shared photographs from the meeting on X, revealing that Kavya’s parents had personally invited Revanth Reddy to the celebrations.
“The wedding reception of Kavya Maran and Anirudh Ravichander is scheduled to be held in Chennai on November 21,” the official statement confirmed.
The announcement marks the first formal public confirmation of their wedding plans.
Reports suggest that the couple could marry in Greece on November 11 before hosting their Chennai reception. However, neither Anirudh nor Kavya has personally confirmed the ceremony’s date or location.
Anirudh Previously Dismissed Wedding Rumours
Interestingly, Anirudh had previously addressed speculation about his relationship with Kavya in June 2025.
Responding to rumours circulating online, the composer wrote, “Marriage ah? lol… Chill out, guys. Please stop spreading rumours.”
The speculation resurfaced in 2026 when Anirudh’s uncle, actor Y. G. Mahendran, indicated during an interview that wedding preparations were underway.
Anirudh is among Tamil cinema’s most successful composers, known for Jailer, Jawan, Leo and Coolie.
Kavya, meanwhile, oversees Sunrisers Hyderabad and holds an executive position within the Sun Group.
The wedding also brings together two prominent names associated with Tamil entertainment and the IPL, although details about the guest list and ceremony remain limited.
For now, November 21 is the officially confirmed reception date, while further wedding arrangements await announcements from the families.
