Contestant Shreya Kalra made a series of personal allegations involving actors Kushal Tandon and Shivangi Joshi, leaving fellow contestants surprised and sparking fresh discussion online. Shreya Kalra recalls her interaction with Kushal Tandon
During a conversation with fellow contestant Shilpa Shinde, Shreya spoke about working on a promotional shoot for Barsatein – Mausam Pyaar Ka alongside Kushal Tandon. According to her, their interaction continued after the shoot when Kushal allegedly reached out to her through Instagram. Shreya explained that she was already in a relationship at the time and later realised there was also something happening between Kushal and Shivangi Joshi. She said, “I was dating at that time, and there was something going on between Kushal and Shivangi as well. I didn’t know about it. Then Kushal started speaking to me, but when I got a hint about him and Shivangi, I stopped.”
Shreya went on to claim that she later met Shivangi on the sets of the television show, where an unexpected conversation took place. According to Shreya, Shivangi told her that Kushal had claimed Shreya was the one who followed him first and initiated contact on social media. Denying that version of events, Shreya said she immediately handed over her phone so Shivangi could read their entire conversation herself. She added, “I said, ‘Excuse me! I wouldn’t be the first person to approach any man. I’ve never done that in my entire life.’ I gave my phone to her. She read my whole chat. I didn’t flirt back and I didn’t say anything. After doing scenes, she used to cry.”
Breakup claims return to the spotlight
While continuing her story, Shreya alleged that a few months after those incidents, Kushal shared an Instagram Story announcing that he and Shivangi had ended their relationship. The actor later removed that post, but it had already attracted significant attention across entertainment circles. As of now, Kushal Tandon and Shivangi Joshi have not issued any response to the fresh allegations made inside the reality show.
Rumours about Kushal and Shivangi’s relationship first gained momentum during the filming of Barsatein – Mausam Pyaar Ka, where the two played the lead roles. In June 2025, Kushal briefly posted an Instagram Story that appeared to confirm their breakup. In the now-deleted post, he wrote, “To all the people I love, just wanted to say, me and Shivangi (Joshi) are not together anymore. It’s been 5 months so yes.” Although the post disappeared shortly afterwards, it became a major topic among fans and entertainment followers.
