The Yellowjackets have finally escaped the wilderness, but returning home might be just as terrifying. Paramount+ released a new trailer for the psychological horror series’ fourth and final season on October 14, revealing what happens when the surviving soccer players return to New Jersey after 19 months.
The final season premieres on November 20, 2026, exclusively on Paramount+ with the Premium plan.
Yellowjackets Season 4 Trailer Reveals a Troubling Homecoming
The trailer shows the survivors receiving a hero’s welcome, even as they struggle with the horrifying experiences they endured.
In one particularly unsettling moment, Shauna (Sophie Nélisse) is asked how it feels to be home. Her response is chillingly simple: “It doesn’t.”
While the outside world celebrates their rescue, the girls must confront memories of violence, cannibalism and betrayal that their families cannot fully understand.
The teaser also features Alanis Morissette’s Ironic, adding an unsettling contrast to the homecoming scenes.
Paramount+ extended the promotion with fictional 1999 MTV News coverage and an MTV Unplugged tribute, presenting the rescue as though it were a real event from the late 1990s.
Can Yellowjackets Finally Escape Its Past?
The final season continues the show’s dual-timeline storytelling, connecting the teenagers’ return to civilisation with their complicated adult lives nearly 25 years later.
Melanie Lynskey, Christina Ricci, Tawny Cypress, Sophie Nélisse, Sophie Thatcher and Hilary Swank are among the returning cast members.
Created by Ashley Lyle and Bart Nickerson, Yellowjackets has spent three seasons exploring what people are willing to do to survive.
Now, its final chapter faces a different question: Can the survivors live with what they did?
With the wilderness storyline finally reaching the rescue, Season 4 promises to confront the consequences that have haunted these characters since the series began.
