Ranabaali Box Office: Vijay’s Film Earns ₹36.90 Crore

Vijay Deverakonda and Rashmika Mandanna’s Ranabaali has completed its opening weekend with an estimated ₹36.90 crore worldwide, but the period action drama has struggled to build significant momentum after its Friday debut. Directed by Rahul Sankrityan, the film recorded a modest Sunday recovery following a noticeable decline on Saturday.

Released on October 16, 2026, Ranabaali collected ₹24.05 crore net in India over its first three days, according to Sacnilk. The film now faces its first major weekday test as it attempts to sustain audience interest amid competition from Rajinikanth’s Jailer 2.

Ranabaali Box Office Collection: Day-Wise Breakdown

The film opened with ₹9.25 crore net on Friday before declining to ₹7.30 crore on Saturday, a drop of approximately 21%.

Sunday brought a slight improvement, with collections increasing to ₹7.50 crore, representing 2.7% growth over the previous day.

The day-wise India net collections are:

DayCollection
Friday, October 16₹9.25 crore
Saturday, October 17₹7.30 crore
Sunday, October 18₹7.50 crore
Total₹24.05 crore

Although Sunday showed improvement, collections remained nearly 19% below opening-day levels.

Ranabaali Worldwide Box Office Reaches ₹36.90 Crore

The film’s India gross stands at approximately ₹28 crore, while international markets have contributed another ₹8.90 crore.

Together, these figures bring its worldwide total to ₹36.90 crore after three days.

Overseas earnings account for roughly 24% of the global collection, indicating that domestic theaters remain the film’s primary revenue source.

Sacnilk also estimates that approximately 18.4 lakh moviegoers watched Ranabaali during its opening weekend.

Jailer 2 Competition Creates a Difficult Challenge

Ranabaali arrived one day after Rajinikanth’s Jailer 2, which has dominated the regional box-office conversation.

However, competition alone cannot explain its performance. The film has also received mixed critical reactions, particularly concerning its pacing and emotional storytelling.

Set against the backdrop of the Madras Famine of 1876–1878, the Mythri Movie Makers production follows a warrior confronting British colonial oppression.

The film reunites Vijay and Rashmika following Geetha Govindam and Dear Comrade.

Can Ranabaali Recover During the Week?

Early Monday tracking indicates additional collections, although complete fourth-day figures are still awaited.

The film’s modest Sunday recovery provides some encouragement, but its opening weekend does not yet establish a clear commercial success.

With a reported production budget of approximately ₹150 crore, Ranabaali will need considerably stronger sustained earnings to improve its theatrical prospects.

Its weekday performance, particularly Monday’s final collections, will offer a clearer picture of whether the film can maintain momentum.
