Harshvardhan Rane’s upcoming romantic action drama Silaa finally has a theatrical release date. The film will arrive in cinemas on February 5, 2027, with the announcement accompanied by two new posters offering another glimpse of Rane’s intense transformation.
Directed by Mary Kom filmmaker Omung Kumar, Silaa also stars Sadia Khateeb, Karan Veer Mehra and Ipsitaa. The film combines romance, revenge and high-stakes action across locations in Kashmir and Vietnam.

Rane plays Virat, a man whose search for love takes a dangerous turn when unexpected circumstances threaten his relationship and survival.
The newly unveiled posters emphasize the actor’s physically demanding character, continuing the darker visual direction established by the film’s earlier promotional artwork.
Speaking about his experience, Rane described Silaa as one of his most demanding projects.
“There is so much more to Virat than what meets the eye,” the actor said.
He explained that the film challenged him both physically and emotionally, particularly because its action sequences are closely connected to the protagonist’s personal journey.
For audiences familiar with Rane’s romantic performances in Sanam Teri Kasam and Ek Deewane Ki Deewaniyat, the project promises a more action-oriented interpretation of his intense screen persona.
Sadia Khateeb and Karan Veer Mehra Join the Cast
Sadia Khateeb, known for Shikara and The Diplomat, plays the titular character Silaa.
Karan Veer Mehra portrays antagonist Zehraak, while Ipsitaa appears as Naina.
Although the filmmakers have introduced these characters, their complete relationships and the circumstances surrounding Virat’s transformation remain undisclosed.
Omung Kumar has described the film as an emotional story that blends adventure, mystery and action.
The director previously helmed Mary Kom and Sarbjit, making Silaa another project centered on characters navigating extraordinary circumstances.
Silaa Completes Filming Ahead of February 2027 Release
Production began in June 2025 and wrapped in April 2026 after extensive filming across Mumbai, Kashmir and Vietnam.
The varied locations are intended to give the romance a larger cinematic scale while supporting its action sequences.
Written by Sameer Joshi, with dialogues by Aarambh Singh, the film features music from Ankit Tiwari, Sachet-Parampara, Shreyas Puranik and Alexia Evellyn.
Zee Studios is producing alongside Blue Lotus Pictures and Stark Entertainment.
With its February 5, 2027 release date confirmed, Silaa now has a clear theatrical window.
