A fourth woman has testified against Russell Brand in his ongoing sexual assault trial, alleging that the British comedian violently kissed and groped her while she was working at a London radio station in the mid-2000s.
Giving evidence at Southwark Crown Court on Tuesday, October 20, 2026, the complainant described the alleged encounter as “frenzied” and “violent.” She also claimed that four people accompanying Brand witnessed the incident but failed to intervene.
Brand, 51, has pleaded not guilty to all seven criminal charges against him.
Fourth Accuser Describes Alleged Assault at Radio Station
The woman told jurors that she was working at Choice FM, within the Capital Radio offices in central London, when she encountered Brand during the summer of 2004 or 2005.
According to her testimony, Brand suddenly approached her in a corridor, grabbed her face and began kissing her without consent.
“He was kissing me, it was very frenzied,” she recalled.
She alleged that Brand pushed her backwards against a wall, pressed his body against hers and touched her breasts and buttocks.
Describing his behaviour, she told the court, “It was rough, it was very, very rough.”
The woman said she eventually pushed Brand away and shouted at him. She alleged that he laughed afterwards.
Woman Claims Four Witnesses Failed to Intervene
One particularly troubling aspect of the testimony involved the alleged presence of bystanders.
The complainant said three men and one woman accompanying Brand witnessed the encounter but did nothing to stop it.
She recalled looking towards the other woman, hoping someone would intervene.
When questioned about why she had not immediately reported the incident, she described the workplace environment as a “culture of fear.”
The complainant suggested that Brand’s growing celebrity status made speaking out particularly difficult.
She also expressed concerns about losing her job and being unable to meet her financial responsibilities.
Why Did the Woman Report the Incident in 2023?
The woman told the court that she remained silent for years before coming forward following Channel 4’s Dispatches investigation into allegations against Brand in 2023.
She said watching Brand publicly maintain that his past sexual encounters were consensual prompted her to contact police.
During cross-examination, defence barrister Ian Winter KC challenged her recollection and questioned why the alleged incident had not been reported earlier.
The complainant rejected suggestions that she had mistakenly identified Brand after watching the documentary.
Russell Brand Denies All Seven Charges
Brand currently faces three counts of rape, three counts of sexual assault and one count of indecent assault, involving allegations from six women between 1999 and 2009.
The former television presenter has denied every charge and maintains that his sexual encounters were consensual.
The latest testimony follows allegations presented by three earlier complainants, including a former MTV employee who described an alleged assault at a London bar in 2004.
The trial remains ongoing at Southwark Crown Court.
No verdict has been reached, and the allegations remain subject to judicial examination.
