Nayyi Navelli Box Office Day 4: Yami Gautam Film Falls 40%

Yami Gautam’s supernatural comedy Nayyi Navelli has experienced its first significant box-office slowdown, collecting an estimated ₹2.65 crore net in India on Monday, October 19, 2026. The film registered a 39.8% decline from Sunday’s ₹4.40 crore, bringing its four-day domestic total to ₹14.30 crore.

Directed by Balaji Mohan, the horror comedy enjoyed steady growth throughout its opening weekend before encountering the usual challenge of attracting audiences on a working day. Its worldwide collection has now reached approximately ₹19.28 crore, according to Sacnilk’s updated figures.

Nayyi Navelli Box Office Day 4: Collection Breakdown

The film opened with ₹3.25 crore on Friday, improved to ₹4 crore on Saturday and reached ₹4.40 crore on Sunday.

However, Monday brought a noticeable reduction in earnings.

DayIndia Net Collection
Day 1 – Friday₹3.25 crore
Day 2 – Saturday₹4.00 crore
Day 3 – Sunday₹4.40 crore
Day 4 – Monday₹2.65 crore
Total₹14.30 crore

After four days, the film’s India gross stands at ₹17.03 crore, with another ₹2.25 crore coming from overseas markets.

The latest numbers are provisional. Bollywood Hungama separately estimates Monday’s collection at ₹2.35 crore, illustrating the differences between trade trackers.

Is Monday’s 39.8% Drop Bad for Nayyi Navelli?

The nearly 40% decline might appear concerning, particularly after three consecutive days of increasing collections.

However, comparing Monday exclusively with Sunday does not tell the complete story.

Weekend collections generally benefit from greater audience availability, whereas Monday provides an early indication of regular weekday demand.

Interestingly, Nayyi Navelli’s Monday collection was only 18.5% below its opening Friday earnings. That suggests the film retained a reasonable portion of its initial business despite the end of the weekend.

Sacnilk also reported approximately 14% overall occupancy on Monday, compared with 17% on Sunday. Friday’s occupancy had been around 11%.

These figures suggest audience interest has not disappeared, although the film’s relatively modest collections leave limited room for further declines.

Can Nayyi Navelli Sustain Its Box Office Run?

Nayyi Navelli faces competition from Rajinikanth’s Jailer 2 and Rajkummar Rao’s courtroom drama Prahaar.

While Jailer 2 continues dominating the wider box-office conversation, Nayyi Navelli has maintained an advantage over Prahaar, which reportedly earned ₹2 crore on Monday.

The Yami Gautam film also benefits from its family-oriented supernatural comedy premise, featuring a mysterious newlywed whose seemingly perfect arrival creates unexpected complications within a household.

Nevertheless, Monday’s performance is not enough to determine whether the film will become a commercial success.

Tuesday and Wednesday collections will be important in establishing whether the current earnings represent a sustainable weekday level or the beginning of a sharper decline.

For now, Nayyi Navelli has passed its first Monday with a noticeable but not disastrous drop. Maintaining collections around this level over the coming days would strengthen its prospects, while further substantial declines could make its theatrical recovery more difficult.
