Speculation around Krithi Shetty’s Bollywood debut has been gaining traction for weeks, especially after reports hinted at a potential film opposite Tiger Shroff, directed by Milap Milan Zaveri. Now, the actress has finally addressed the buzz — and made one thing clear: nothing is signed yet.
Talks happened, paperwork didn’t
Krithi confirmed that she has indeed been approached for Hindi films, but clarified that the much-talked-about project hasn’t been finalised. While conversations did take place, the timing and structure didn’t quite fall into place.
She explained that scheduling plays a big role. Unlike the South Indian film industry, where shoots are often spread out over phases, Hindi films usually require long, continuous schedules. In some cases, dates didn’t align; in others, the project didn’t feel right as her first proper Hindi lead.
Why Bollywood still excites her
Despite the uncertainty, Krithi didn’t hide her enthusiasm for working in Hindi cinema. Having grown up in Mumbai, Hindi feels natural to her in a way regional languages didn’t at the start of her career.
She shared that during acting workshops, Hindi dialogues came easily because she understood the language instinctively — the meaning, the emotion, the rhythm. That comfort, she says, makes the Hindi film process feel fresh and exciting, and she hopes the right project comes together soon.
Not new to Hindi screens
Interestingly, Krithi has already had a brief brush with Bollywood. She appeared in a small role in Super 30, but a full-fledged Hindi debut as a leading lady is something she wants to approach carefully — without rushing into it.
Busy slate in the South
On the work front, Krithi’s schedule remains packed. Although three films planned for December 2025 didn’t make it to theatres, she still has a strong lineup ahead, including:

- LIK with Pradeep Ranganathan
- Genie, starring Ravi Mohan
