Orry Calls Sara Ali Khan a ‘Fake Friend’, Makes Claims Against Amrita Singh

Orhan Awatramani, popularly known as Orry, has opened up about his strained friendship with Sara Ali Khan, accusing the actor of abandoning him during a difficult phase of his life. In a conversation with Neha Dhupia and Angad Bedi on their show Double Date, the social media personality also alleged that Sara’s mother, Amrita Singh, verbally abused him and never apologised.

The comments have brought renewed attention to the fallout between Orry and Sara, who were once known for their close friendship and frequent appearances together. During the conversation, Neha asked Orry to name the most famous person he had unfollowed on social media. He immediately named Sara and explained that his relationship with her family had also deteriorated.

“Her mother scolded me a lot, so I unfollowed her too,” Orry said.

Why Orry Feels Betrayed by Sara

Orry described Sara as a childhood friend, claiming their bond continued for years after college. He recalled standing by the actor during a difficult period in her life, including when she was dealing with what he described as a major case in Goa.

According to Orry, he remained supportive despite people advising him to distance himself from the situation. However, he claimed that when he experienced a difficult phase of his own, Sara failed to offer even a basic check-in.

“There are fake friendships,” Orry said while explaining his disappointment. He alleged that Sara did not call or check on him when he needed her support, despite his belief that he had been there for her and her family during their difficult moments.

Orry added that the experience made him question whether their friendship had been genuine. He said he could no longer pretend everything was fine while feeling that the support he had offered was not reciprocated.

Amrita Singh’s Alleged Behaviour and the Fallout

Orry also accused Amrita Singh of speaking abusively to him and making negative remarks about him to other people. He claimed that the incident contributed significantly to his decision to distance himself from Sara and her family.

“I never got an apology after that,” he said, explaining why he did not want to continue the friendship as though nothing had happened.

The allegations remain Orry’s account of the dispute. Neither Sara Ali Khan nor Amrita Singh has publicly responded to these latest remarks in the reports covering the interview.

How the Friendship Fell Apart

The public fallout between Orry and Sara reportedly became noticeable in August 2025, after Orry shared birthday pictures of the actor that some social media users considered unflattering. The situation escalated when he posted a reel referencing the names Sara, Amrita and Palak, prompting speculation about the people involved.

Sara and her brother Ibrahim Ali Khan later unfollowed Orry on Instagram, further fuelling reports of a rift.

Orry had previously indicated that an apology from Amrita could potentially help him move forward. His latest comments suggest that the unresolved dispute remains a major reason behind the distance.

For now, the former friends appear to be maintaining separate paths, with Orry making it clear that he does not want to continue a relationship he believes was no longer genuine.
