Park Min-young and Yook Sung-jae Lead Prime Video Romance

Park Min-young is returning to the office romance genre with Nine to Six, a new Korean drama also starring BTOB’s Yook Sung-jae and Go Soo. The 12-episode romantic series will premiere on Prime Video on November 25, 2026, reaching audiences across more than 240 countries and territories.

The announcement, made on October 21, also introduced new images from the cast’s script-reading session. Produced for South Korean broadcaster SBS, the series explores workplace relationships, career ambitions and the complications of falling in love.

Nine to Six: Park Min-young Caught Between Two Very Different Men

Park Min-young portrays Kang Yi-ji, a successful senior manager in the legal department of automotive company Chronic Motors.

Practical, ambitious and fiercely independent, Yi-ji has spent years prioritizing professional success over romantic relationships. She considers love and marriage little more than temporary emotional impulses.

However, her carefully organized life begins changing when she encounters two contrasting personalities.

Yook Sung-jae plays Han Sun-woo, a younger legal intern whose warmth and sincerity challenge Yi-ji’s rational outlook. Although working in the corporate sector, Sun-woo dreams of becoming a jewelry designer.

Their relationship develops after he protects her during a dangerous situation.

Meanwhile, Go Soo portrays Park Hyun-tae, a senior executive returning from the company’s European headquarters. Like Yi-ji, he approaches relationships cautiously, but gradually becomes interested in her professional abilities and personality.

The resulting romantic triangle places emotional vulnerability against the expectations of a demanding workplace.

Nine to Six Is Based on Chinese Drama The Rational Life

Interestingly, Nine to Six is a Korean adaptation of the 2021 Chinese romantic drama The Rational Life.

The original series followed a career-focused professional navigating workplace politics, family expectations and a relationship with a younger man.

Rather than focusing exclusively on romantic competition, the Korean version also promises to explore career ambitions, personal independence and the pressure of maintaining a successful professional identity.

The adaptation provides an opportunity to revisit those themes within South Korea’s corporate culture.

Go Soo Returns to Romance After More Than a Decade

One particularly notable casting choice is Go Soo, who returns to the romance genre after approximately 15 years.

Park Min-young, meanwhile, brings extensive experience from popular dramas including What’s Wrong with Secretary Kim, Marry My Husband and Siren’s Kiss.

Yook Sung-jae previously appeared in Goblin and The Haunted Palace.

Directed by Lee Hyung-min and Oh Song-hee, with a screenplay by Choi Ji-oh, the series also features Joo Hyun-young and Kim Mi-kyung.

When and Where to Watch Nine to Six

Nine to Six premieres on November 25, 2026, at 9 PM KST on SBS, with international streaming through Prime Video.

The newly released script-reading preview offers an early look at the cast’s interactions, particularly the contrast between Yi-ji’s reserved personality and Sun-woo’s approachable nature.

With its established source material and experienced romantic-drama cast, Nine to Six will attempt to offer more than a conventional workplace love triangle.
