Directed by Prashanth Neel, the movie had been referred to as NTR-Neel for months before finally receiving its official name. The teaser instantly exploded across social media because of its gritty action-heavy presentation and massive cinematic scale.
In the glimpse, Jr NTR appears as a ruthless killer trapped inside a violent criminal world built around the opium trade. The teaser showed him standing atop mountains of dead bodies while taking down enemies with guns blazing, giving audiences strong reminders of the dark visual style seen earlier in KGF and Salaar. Fans praised the actor’s intense screen presence, rugged appearance, and aggressive body language throughout the teaser.
The film also features a large supporting cast including Biju Menon, Rukmini Vasanth, Khushbu Sundar, Ashutosh Rana and several others in important roles. Dragon is currently scheduled for a theatrical release on June 11, 2027, and will release in Telugu, Hindi, Tamil, Kannada, and Malayalam languages.
