The long wait is finally over. HBO has officially unveiled the first trailer for Euphoria Season 3, offering fans their first real glimpse at what lies ahead for Rue and the rest of the controversial, emotionally charged characters. The new season is set to premiere on April 12 on HBO and HBO Max, and it marks a major turning point for the series.
Most notably, Euphoria Season 3 takes a bold creative leap — jumping five years into the future, following the characters after they’ve left high school behind and entered a far messier adult world.
Familiar Faces Return — With Some Emotional Absences
Leading the cast once again is Zendaya as Rue Bennett, whose battle with addiction remains central to the show’s identity. Joining her are returning stars:

The trailer confirms that Season 3 explores a very different phase of life for the characters:
- Cassie and Nate are now married, living a seemingly picture-perfect suburban life
- Rue is shown in Mexico, working to pay off her dangerous debt to drug dealer Laurie
- Jules is attending art school
- Maddy has moved to Hollywood, working at a talent agency
The shift away from high school drama toward adulthood, consequences, and survival signals a darker, more grounded chapter for the series.
A Massive Lineup of New Cast Members
Season 3 also boasts an unusually large and star-studded list of newcomers. Among the biggest additions:
