The estate sits in Lewisboro, around 50 miles outside Manhattan, and spans nearly 110 acres of land. Reports say the couple quietly purchased the property back in 2018 and planned to transform it into an ultra-luxurious private compound. The plans reportedly included a huge 14,500-square-foot mansion, a pool house, a private fitness area and advanced eco-friendly heating systems spread throughout the property. But despite the ambitious vision, work on the estate has now reportedly stalled completely with several companies claiming they were never fully paid for their work.

According to legal filings reportedly submitted in April 2026, multiple contractors and subcontractors placed mechanics liens against the property. The biggest claim comes from a luxury construction company called Flower Construction, which is reportedly seeking over $1.3 million alone. The company allegedly handled major portions of the mansion build including framing, electrical work, plumbing, drywall installation and heating systems. Several additional subcontractors have also filed claims connected to excavation work and specialized drainage infrastructure tied to the eco-heating setup.
The combined total of the reported claims now sits above $2.1 million, which has quickly become a huge talking point online considering both stars are among Hollywood’s wealthiest celebrity couples. Neither Lively nor Reynolds has publicly commented on the dispute yet, and representatives for the actors reportedly remain silent about the ongoing situation. Local officials in Westchester County also have not released detailed public statements regarding the filings.
