The struggles continue for Kis Kisko Pyaar Karoon 2. Nearly a week into its theatrical run, Kapil Sharma’s latest comedy sequel is finding it difficult to hold ground at the box office, with Day 6 turning out to be its weakest performance so far.

Day 6 collections paint a worrying picture

On its first Wednesday in cinemas, Kis Kisko Pyaar Karoon 2 managed to earn an estimated ₹75 lakh, marking the film’s lowest single-day collection since release. It is also the second time within six days that the film has slipped below the ₹1 crore mark, underlining the lack of strong word-of-mouth.

How the first week unfolded

The film opened on a decent note with ₹1.85 crore on Day 1, followed by mild growth over the weekend.

  • Saturday: ₹2.5 crore
  • Sunday: ₹2.9 crore

However, momentum faded quickly once the weekdays began.

  • Monday: ₹90 lakh
  • Tuesday: ₹1.1 crore
  • Wednesday: ₹75 lakh

By the end of Day 6, the film’s total net collection stands at around ₹10 crore, far below expectations for a franchise sequel.

Occupancy remains weak

Theatre occupancy figures tell a similar story. On Wednesday, the film recorded an overall Hindi occupancy of 17.12%.

  • Morning shows opened at a dull 6.70%
  • Evening shows improved slightly to 19.13%
  • Night shows saw the best response at 27.18%, though still not enough to lift daily numbers significantly

Gross and worldwide performance

In terms of gross figures, Kis Kisko Pyaar Karoon 2 has collected approximately ₹11.9 crore in India. Overseas business remains limited at around ₹75 lakh, taking the film’s worldwide total to nearly ₹12.65 crore.

Where it stands in Kapil Sharma’s career

Despite its underwhelming run, the film has already become the third-highest earning title in Kapil Sharma’s filmography, with ₹10 crore net. It is now inching close to overtaking Firangi, which wrapped up its lifetime run at around ₹10.21 crore. However, the original Kis Kisko Pyaar Karoon remains the undisputed leader, with nearly ₹50 crore in total collections.

Bigger competition ahead

The road ahead looks even tougher. The film is set to face heavy pressure from James Cameron’s Avatar: Fire and Ash, which is expected to dominate screens across India. Adding to the challenge is the Christmas release of ** Tu Meri Main Tera Main Tera Tu Meri ** starring Kartik Aaryan and Ananya Panday.

Final words

At this point, Kis Kisko Pyaar Karoon 2 appears to be running on limited fuel. With falling weekday numbers and major releases around the corner, the film’s theatrical journey may struggle to find a turnaround. Unless there’s a sudden revival, this sequel looks set for a modest and forgettable box office finish.
