On Day 13, the Ranveer Singh-led spy thriller saw a noticeable jump at the domestic box office, pulling in ₹27 crore on Tuesday — nearly 10% higher than Monday. That kind of mid-week growth is rare, especially for a film already deep into its theatrical run.
India Stays Strong, Momentum Still Intact
Directed by Aditya Dhar, the film has now reached ₹899 crore net in India (around ₹1085 crore gross), crossing the ₹900 crore mark shortly after. What’s more impressive is how consistent the numbers have been.
After smashing past ₹1000 crore worldwide in just its first week, the film didn’t dip the way most big releases do. Instead, it delivered a massive ₹170 crore second weekend in India — the highest ever recorded in the country.
That tells you one thing: this isn’t just hype, it’s sustained audience pull.
Overseas Run Turns Historic
While the domestic numbers are huge, the overseas performance is what’s pushing Dhurandhar 2 into record territory.
The film opened strong internationally with $7 million and quickly climbed past $22 million in its first weekend. Now, with a steady weekday hold and another weekend boost, it has reached $38.4 million overseas.
In fact, it has already broken long-standing records in key territories like North America, overtaking Baahubali 2’s nine-year benchmark — something very few Hindi films have managed.
₹1400 Crore Club — Without China
Here’s where it gets historic.
Dhurandhar 2 has now collected around ₹1435 crore worldwide — and it’s done that without a China release. That’s a major detail because previous milestones at this level often relied heavily on the Chinese market.
Take Aamir Khan’s Dangal, for example. While it crossed similar numbers, a large chunk came from its massive China run.
Dhurandhar 2, on the other hand, has achieved this purely through traditional markets — making it arguably the biggest global Hindi film run under those conditions.

The film’s success also shows how strong the franchise has become. The first Dhurandhar had already set the stage with a ₹1300 crore global haul and an unusually long theatrical run.
