Filmmaker Ali Abbas Zafar has added another major name to his upcoming action thriller. The director, known for blockbusters like Sultan and Tiger Zinda Hai, has officially signed Bobby Deol to star alongside Ahaan Panday and Sharvari in his next big-screen project.
This film marks Ahaan Panday’s second outing after his debut in Saiyaara, and early reports suggest the scale and ambition are set to be massive.
Bobby Deol Steps Into a Grey Role
As reported by Mid-Day, Bobby Deol will play the central antagonist opposite Ahaan Panday’s hero. However, sources close to the production have clarified that his role is far from a typical villain.
“It would be incorrect to call him the villain,” an insider revealed. “Bobby’s character holds an authoritative position in the story, but there’s more than meets the eye. As the plot unfolds, audiences will see shades of grey that shape his relationship with the protagonist.”
Ali Abbas Zafar reportedly crafted the part specifically with Deol in mind, creating a character that is both powerful and layered.
“The idea was to give Bobby something larger-than-life but grounded in emotion,” the report added. “He came on board just a week ago, and the team is already working on his look and characterization.”
Ahaan Panday and Sharvari Bring the Energy
The untitled film also stars Ahaan Panday and Sharvari Wagh in pivotal roles. Ahaan, who impressed audiences with his breakout performance in Saiyaara, is said to be undergoing intense physical training for the role. Sharvari, fresh off the success of Munjya, will reportedly play a dynamic lead opposite him.
Bobby Deol’s Career in Full Momentum
Bobby Deol’s casting comes right after the success of his recent projects, including The Alpha, which released earlier this year to strong box office numbers and critical praise for his powerful performance.
Over the past few years, Deol has earned widespread acclaim for his bold choices in Animal, Aashram, and Kanguva, reinventing himself as one of Bollywood’s most versatile actors.
With Ali Abbas Zafar’s film, he’s once again stepping into a complex and morally ambiguous role, continuing his streak of intense, character-driven performances.
Filming to Begin in Europe
The yet-untitled action thriller will be shot on a grand international scale, with major portions planned across Europe. Director Ali Abbas Zafar is expected to begin his location recce in England later this month, before the project officially goes on floors.
With Ahaan Panday’s fresh energy, Sharvari’s rising star power, and Bobby Deol’s commanding screen presence, the film is shaping up to be one of Bollywood’s most anticipated action thrillers of 2026.
