Pulkit Samrat and Varun Sharma are back together — and this time, the chaos has a cosmic twist. The duo, best known for their chemistry in the Fukrey franchise, are reuniting for a new comedy titled Rahu Ketu, whose trailer has just dropped, promising a wild ride where mythology collides with modern-day madness.
A strange mix of folklore and fun
Directed by Vipul Vig, Rahu Ketu leans into ancient Hindu mythology while placing it firmly inside a loud, contemporary comedy setup. The trailer opens with Piyush Mishra setting the stage, explaining the mythological significance of Rahu and Ketu, before things spiral into confusion, mistaken identities, and full-blown comic chaos.
What follows is a colourful mash-up of belief systems, absurd situations, and human flaws — all wrapped in a playful, almost cartoonish tone that doesn’t take itself too seriously.
Pulkit and Varun on familiar comic ground
Pulkit Samrat said the film instantly appealed to him because of its fantasy-driven world and light-hearted approach. According to the actor, Rahu Ketu allowed him to step into a vibrant universe where mythological ideas are presented in a fun, accessible way — especially something younger audiences can enjoy without feeling overwhelmed.
Varun Sharma, meanwhile, described the film’s humour as situational and rooted in everyday human weaknesses. For him, the laughs come not just from jokes, but from holding up a slightly cracked mirror to people’s behaviour — with chaos dialled all the way up.
Strong supporting cast adds flavour
Alongside Pulkit and Varun, the film features Shalini Pandey, Piyush Mishra, Chunky Panday, Amit Sial, Manu Rishi Chadda, Sumit Gulati, and others, giving the ensemble plenty of room for contrasting energies.
Shalini Pandey, who has worked across Telugu, Tamil, and Hindi cinema, called Rahu Ketu one of the most enjoyable experiences of her career. She praised director Vipul Vig’s clear vision and said the freedom given to actors helped bring instinctive performances to the screen. She also credited Zee Studios and Blive Productions for backing the film with confidence and creative trust.
What to expect
From the trailer, Rahu Ketu looks less like a traditional comedy and more like a playful experiment — blending mythology, madness, and mass humour into a single, fast-moving narrative. The film doesn’t promise logic; it promises laughs, confusion, and a touch of cosmic commentary.
Release details
Rahu Ketu is scheduled to hit theatres on January 16, 2026, adding another quirky option to the early 2026 box office slate.
Final words
For fans of Pulkit Samrat and Varun Sharma’s chaotic camaraderie, Rahu Ketu looks like a return to familiar comic territory — just with planets, prophecies, and a whole lot of madness thrown into the mix.
