Jackie Shroff Wants Daughter Krishna to Become Bollywood’s Next Supergirl

Long before Indian cinema fully embraced big-screen superheroes, Jackie Shroff was already flying around in costume in Shiva Ka Insaaf, widely remembered as India’s first 3D movie. Now, nearly four decades later, the veteran actor is stepping back into superhero territory once again with The Great Grand Superhero. But while talking about superheroes and legacy, Jackie admitted there’s one person from his own family he would genuinely love seeing in a cape someday — his daughter Krishna Shroff.

Speaking about Krishna, Jackie sounded both proud and emotional while discussing how audiences have connected with her through reality shows and public appearances over the years. According to him, if the right project ever arrives where Krishna can play a “supergirl,” he would absolutely support it. He praised her determination and confidence, saying she can achieve anything once she puts her heart into something. Even though Krishna has not openly shown interest in acting yet, Jackie clearly feels she already has the personality and presence needed for a larger-than-life screen role.

Jackie Shroff Got Superhero Advice From Son Tiger Shroff

Interestingly, Jackie’s latest superhero experience also came with guidance from his son Tiger Shroff, who previously played a superhero himself in A Flying Jatt. Jackie revealed that Tiger gave him several practical tips about surviving inside heavy superhero costumes, especially while wearing tight rubber suits for long hours during filming. According to Jackie, the biggest challenge was staying hydrated because the suit caused nonstop sweating while also making basic things like bathroom breaks nearly impossible for hours.

The actor laughed while recalling Tiger warning him about muscle strain and dehydration if he didn’t constantly drink water. Jackie admitted the experience became physically exhausting at times, but he appreciated how carefully his son guided him through the challenges. That little father-son superhero connection honestly makes the whole story feel even more wholesome.

Jackie Says Working With Kids Changed Him

One of the biggest joys for Jackie during filming apparently came from working alongside child actors. The 69-year-old actor described the experience as deeply refreshing and even admitted he learned a lot from the younger cast members. According to him, the atmosphere on set became playful and warm, with the children bringing him food, chatting constantly and playing games between takes. But the moment cameras rolled, Jackie said they transformed into serious professionals instantly.

Reflecting on the journey from Shiva Ka Insaaf to The Great Grand Superhero, Jackie joked that back then he played a superhero, while now he has become a “super grandfather.” Still, he believes both films share the same emotional purpose — entertaining children while also creating something families can enjoy together.

Jackie also spoke warmly about collaborating with director Manish Saini, who has already won multiple National Awards. In typical Jackie Shroff style, he brushed aside conversations around box office scale or commercial pressure completely. The actor explained that he has always chosen roles based on emotion rather than size, whether he’s charming snakes in old masala films, dancing in romantic dramas or playing quirky larger-than-life characters.

That attitude honestly explains why Jackie Shroff continues feeling so unique even after more than 40 years in cinema. He never really chases trends — he just seems to enjoy showing up, experimenting and having fun with whatever strange world a film throws him into next.
