Saanvie Tallwar Alleges Karan Kundrra Kissed Her Without Consent

Television actor Saanvie Tallwar has made serious allegations against her former co-star Karan Kundrra, recalling two incidents that she claims took place while filming the 2015 television show Yeh Kahan Aa Gaye Hum. Speaking in a recent interview, Saanvie alleged that one incident involved an unscripted kiss before the director had called for the shot, while another left her physically hurt during filming. She also claimed producer Ektaa Kapoor later stepped in, apologised on Karan’s behalf, and helped resolve the situation.

The actor’s remarks have drawn attention online as they revisit experiences she says made the atmosphere on the set increasingly uncomfortable. While narrating the events, Saanvie maintained that despite everything she claims happened, she does not hold any bitterness towards Karan today. At the time of writing, Karan Kundrra has not publicly responded to the allegations.

Saanvie Recalls What Happened During A Scene

During an interview with Filmibeat, Saanvie described an incident involving a sequence in which her character was required to slap Karan’s character after a kiss. According to her, the scene had not officially begun because the director had not called “action” when she says Karan kissed her unexpectedly. She immediately reacted by slapping him, saying she believed her personal boundaries had been crossed before filming had even started.

Recalling the incident, she said, “There was a scene in which he had to kiss me and I had to slap him, but the director hadn’t clapped action, even before that he kissed me and I slapped him. How can you touch me without my permission. He didn’t react at that time, but then he came back in sometime and slapped me hard. There is difference between the intensity in a girl and a man’s slap. I fell on the floor and then he abused me and my family. Nobody supported me. Later Ektaa ma’am apologised on Karan’s behalf and supported me. She managed to make things easy.”

Saanvie further claimed that changes were made behind the scenes after the episode, alleging that the show’s director was eventually replaced. While discussing the incident, she credited Ektaa Kapoor for supporting her and helping improve the situation after tensions escalated on the set.

Actor Claims The Work Environment Later Turned Toxic

Speaking further about her experience, Saanvie said she generally preferred maintaining a professional distance from her co-stars and crew members. According to her, that reserved nature was not appreciated by everyone working on the show. She alleged that both Karan Kundrra and the director disliked the fact that she mostly kept to herself while filming.

She also claimed she believed Karan had developed an interest in her and decided to inform his then-girlfriend, Anusha Dandekar, through a mutual acquaintance. Explaining why she took that step, Saanvie said, “A girl actually understands what kind of gaze and vibe the boy is doing. We had a common friend, so I decided to convey it to Anusha Dandekar who was Karan’s girlfriend back then that Karan was interested in me. But after that, she kept coming to set and monitoring. Soon after, they started making things difficult for me and the whole environment turned toxic.”

According to Saanvie, the atmosphere on the set changed noticeably after that. She alleged that working conditions became increasingly difficult and that she no longer felt comfortable while filming the show. These claims have not been independently verified, and no official response regarding these specific allegations has been issued.

She Alleges Another Uncomfortable Incident Took Place

Saanvie further claimed that another troubling moment occurred several months later while filming a romantic sequence. According to her, the director intentionally delayed calling “cut” during the scene, leaving her feeling uncomfortable. She alleged that after she objected to what had happened, the production replaced that director as well.

The actor claimed that two different directors were changed during the show’s run following the incidents she raised. However, no official production statement confirming the reasons behind those reported changes has surfaced publicly. Her comments have once again sparked conversations around workplace conduct and consent within the entertainment industry.

Despite recounting these experiences, Saanvie said she has chosen not to carry resentment over the years. She stated that she does not harbour ill feelings towards Karan Kundrra today, even though she remembers the incidents as deeply uncomfortable. Yeh Kahan Aa Gaye Hum premiered in 2015 with Karan Kundrra and Saanvie Tallwar in the lead roles and was produced by Ektaa Kapoor and Shobha Kapoor.
