Filmmaker Ram Gopal Varma has thrown his weight firmly behind Dhurandhar 2 after watching its newly released teaser — and his reaction has instantly reignited the much-talked-about box office clash with Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown-Ups.
The teaser of Aditya Dhar’s sequel dropped on Tuesday, offering a brief but intense glimpse of Ranveer Singh returning to his hard-hitting spy avatar. Soon after, RGV took to X (formerly Twitter) to share the teaser and make it clear where his loyalties lie.
“This Is Not Revenge, It’s a Rampage”
Without naming Toxic directly, Varma’s post left little room for doubt. Sharing the teaser, he wrote:
“This is not REVENGE, it’s @AdityaDharFilms RAMPAGE.. I pity the ones who will come in its way. R I P.”
The message was quickly interpreted as a direct shot at Toxic, which is set to release on the same date as Dhurandhar 2 — March 19.

That statement alone sparked weeks of online debate, especially among fans of Yash, whose Toxic marks his first release after the blockbuster KGF films.
