Even as it continues its powerful run in theaters, Paul Thomas Anderson’s Oscar-front-running film One Battle After Another is heading to digital platforms this week.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, the Warner Bros. production will make its digital debut on Friday, November 14, on major platforms including Apple TV, Amazon Prime Video, and Fandango at Home. The film will later arrive on 4K UHD, Blu-ray, and DVD on Tuesday, January 20, 2026 — just two days before the announcement of nominations for the 98th Academy Awards.

Special Edition and Collectible Release

A collector’s steelbook edition of the film is also set to hit shelves in spring 2026, featuring exclusive behind-the-scenes content and commentary crafted by Anderson himself. This deluxe edition will include a range of special features not found on the standard physical releases, giving fans a deeper look into the filmmaker’s creative process.

About the Film

One Battle After Another follows a revolutionary-turned-recluse (played by Leonardo DiCaprio) who now lives off the grid with his fiercely independent daughter (Chase Infiniti). When his daughter vanishes and an old enemy (Sean Penn) resurfaces, he’s forced back into a world he left behind, seeking help from trusted allies portrayed by Benicio del Toro and Regina Hall. The story also stars Teyana Taylor as his estranged wife, whose mysterious disappearance still haunts him.

The film is described as an emotional exploration of loss, rebellion, and redemption — wrapped in Anderson’s signature cinematic style.

Awards Buzz

With widespread critical acclaim, One Battle After Another is considered one of this year’s strongest Best Picture contenders. Anderson — who has been nominated 11 times previously without a win — is seen as a serious contender in both Best Director and Best Original Screenplay categories.

The performances are also drawing Oscar attention, with DiCaprio and Infiniti expected to compete in the lead acting categories, while Penn, Taylor, del Toro, and Hall are all in the running for supporting acting nominations.

Final Words

Between its poetic storytelling, powerhouse performances, and technical brilliance, One Battle After Another stands as one of Paul Thomas Anderson’s most ambitious works to date. As it makes its way from theaters to home screens, it’s poised to reach an even wider audience — just in time for awards season.
