On Monday, Neil took to X (formerly Twitter) to formally announce his exit from the show, which was associated with HMC Events.
According to his statement, despite repeated assurances from the organisers, the agreed payments were not honoured. He revealed that three cheques issued toward his dues were returned unpaid, calling it a “serious breach of trust and commitment.”
Neil further stated that both he and his team made multiple attempts to resolve the issue amicably. However, those efforts reportedly did not lead to a solution.
In his public note, he declared that he has withdrawn from all present and future associations with The Universal Idol, HMC Events, and individuals linked to the project, effective immediately.
He also made it clear that he reserves the right to pursue “appropriate remedies available to me under law.”
