Akshay Kumar has officially come on board as the lead for the sequel, with Priyadarshan directing it this time. That’s a notable shift because the original Bhoot Police had a completely different cast and director. Producer Ramesh Taurani has confirmed that both films are happening under his banner, making him the common link between the original Bhoot Police and its upcoming sequel. The team is currently searching for a second male lead to join Akshay in the film, which means casting announcements in the coming months could bring even more buzz around the project.
Looking back, the Akshay–Priyadarshan partnership has been one of the most consistent collaborations in Bollywood when it comes to comedy.
