Lissy Lakshmi, Kalyani’s mother, shut it down in the simplest way possible. During a Vishu post on Instagram, while fans were busy sending wishes, one comment casually brought up their “marriage.” Lissy replied with just two words — “false news!”

The speculation wasn’t random though.
Kalyani and Pranav go way back. Not just co-stars — they’ve known each other since childhood. Their families share a close bond, and they basically grew up around each other. That’s why their on-screen comfort feels natural… because it kind of is.
But Kalyani herself has already cleared this earlier.
In an older interview, she described Pranav more like family — even calling him “Appu” and saying their bond feels more sibling-like than romantic. She even joked about introducing him as her cousin because explaining the real connection was too complicated.
