Things got a little too real off-stage for Taylor Momsen this week. The rocker ended up in the hospital after a spider bite while touring with AC/DC — yeah, not exactly the kind of tour story you expect, but also… kind of very rock n roll.
It all happened during her ongoing tour with The Pretty Reckless. Momsen shared a pretty raw update on Instagram, showing her leg where the bite hit near the ankle. The reaction didn’t stay small — the rash spread up toward her knee, looking serious enough to land her straight in a hospital bed.
She didn’t make it dramatic though. Her caption said it all in her usual blunt tone: hospital today, show tomorrow. Even joked about the “poisonous spiders” situation, basically saying — yeah it sucks, but she’s still showing up in Mexico City.
And she meant it.
In another post, she showed herself lying in the hospital, mask on, holding an ice pack like it’s just another day on tour. She thanked the doctors quickly, didn’t go into details, but you could tell it wasn’t just a minor scare.
What makes this whole thing even stranger — this isn’t her first wild animal incident on tour.
Back in 2024, she had a full-on bat situation mid-performance. During a live show (ironically while performing “Witches Burn”), a bat literally latched onto her leg. She didn’t even notice at first. Crowd had to scream and point it out. The bite led to rabies shots for weeks after.
And weird coincidence? That also happened while touring with AC/DC.
So yeah… spider now, bat before — her tour stories are starting to sound less like backstage chaos and more like survival episodes.
Despite all this, the tour isn’t slowing down. The Pretty Reckless are still locked in for upcoming shows, including their next stop in Mexico City before heading toward Europe, with a scheduled performance in Nuremberg in June.
Momsen clearly isn’t the kind to pause for long. Hospital bed or not, she’s already talking about the next show.
Not the safest tour run maybe… but definitely one people won’t forget anytime soon.
