Veteran Bollywood and television actor Satish Shah, best known for his iconic role as Indravadan Sarabhai in Sarabhai vs Sarabhai, passed away on October 25, 2025, at the age of 74. The actor breathed his last at P. D. Hinduja Hospital in Mumbai after suffering from kidney failure.
According to hospital sources, Shah was rushed to the facility around 2:30 pm after being found unresponsive at his residence in Bandra. Despite medical efforts, he could not be revived. His family confirmed that his last rites will be held on October 26 at the Pawan Hans cremation ground in Vile Parle (West).
Satish Shah’s passing has left the entertainment industry in deep sorrow. Celebrities and fans alike took to social media to express their condolences. Filmmaker Farah Khan, actor Johny Lever, and director Karan Johar were among the many who paid heartfelt tributes, calling him “a rare gem of humor and warmth.”
With a career spanning over four decades, Satish Shah made audiences laugh through his memorable performances in classics like Jaane Bhi Do Yaaro, Main Hoon Na, and Hum Saath Saath Hain. His effortless comic timing and expressive personality made him one of the most beloved figures in Indian entertainment.
Beyond television and cinema, Shah was also respected for his mentorship to young actors and his humility off-screen. His legacy as one of India’s most versatile performers will continue to inspire generations.
