Huma Qureshi Responds to Kajol & Twinkle Khanna’s Views on Cheating: “There Are No Free Passes”

Huma Qureshi Responds to Kajol & Twinkle Khanna

The debate around infidelity in relationships has been trending ever since Kajol and Twinkle Khanna suggested on their chat show that physical cheating might be easier to forgive than emotional betrayal. Their remarks sparked a wave of reactions across social media — and now, actor Huma Qureshi has jumped into the conversation with a firm counterpoint.

Huma, who recently appeared on Shubhankar Mishra’s podcast, made it clear that she doesn’t agree with the idea that physical cheating is somehow “less serious.”

“Cheating Is Cheating. What Is Physical or Emotional?” — Huma Qureshi

When asked about the viral Two Much With Kajol and Twinkle episode, Huma didn’t hold back.

She said,
“Cheating is cheating. What is physical or emotional in it? I’m very old-school in that regard. Either you’re with someone or you aren’t.”

The host explained that Kajol and Twinkle’s argument was that physical cheating can sometimes be dismissed as a mistake. Huma immediately disagreed, adding:

“I don’t believe that at all. I’m very black and white about these things. What is this free pass? I don’t understand it.”
She even joked,
“If you get caught, you’ll be beaten up.”

Her response has been appreciated by many viewers who felt the earlier conversation dismissed the seriousness of infidelity.

How the Controversy Started

The discussion began in an October episode featuring Janhvi Kapoor and Karan Johar, where the panel debated whether emotional cheating is worse than physical cheating.

Janhvi called physical cheating a complete deal breaker, while Kajol and Twinkle suggested that certain mistakes can be “ignored” with time. Twinkle even said,
“Raat gayi, baat gayi.”
Janhvi, however, refused to budge, replying,
“Baat nahi jaati.”

Social media widely praised Janhvi for sticking to her values despite pressure from industry seniors.

Huma Qureshi’s Recent Projects

Huma has been on a strong streak recently. She played the chilling antagonist in Delhi Crime Season 3 on Netflix, earning praise for her performance opposite Shefali Shah. Just a week earlier, audiences saw her in the fourth season of Maharani on SonyLIV.
