IVE’s Jang Wonyoung is taking luxury living to the next level. The K-pop superstar has reportedly purchased a lavish villa worth 13.7 billion KRW (approximately 9.3 million USD) in one of Seoul’s most prestigious residential areas — UN Village in Hannam-dong.
According to reports from the real estate industry and the Supreme Court Registry Office, Wonyoung acquired a 244-square-meter unit in Lucid House, a high-end residential complex located in Yongsan-gu, back in March this year. The ownership registration was finalized last month.
A Cash Deal in the Capital’s Most Coveted Address
What’s drawing even more attention is that the purchase appears to have been made entirely in cash, with no mortgage listed under the property records. The villa was previously owned by Lee Ji Yong, former CEO of Daelim Trading and a member of the DL Group business family.
Lucid House, known for its exclusivity and architectural elegance, is part of a development project by Daelim D&I, a real estate company established by Lee Hae Sung, a third-generation heir of the DL Group. When first introduced in 2017, each unit already commanded prices above 4 billion KRW, highlighting its status as one of Seoul’s most desirable addresses.
Privacy, Prestige, and Panoramic Views
Only 15 households reside across the property’s two towers, each featuring private elevators, 24-hour security, and stunning views of both the Han River and Namsan Mountain. The scarcity and privacy of the complex make it one of the most sought-after properties in South Korea.
Lucid House also carries celebrity history — it was previously home to actress Kim Tae Hee, who bought her unit in 2012 for 4.35 billion KRW and sold it six years later for 6.4 billion KRW, making a tidy 2 billion KRW profit.
The Young Star at the Top of Her Game
Born in 2004, Jang Wonyoung has quickly become one of the biggest names in K-pop. As IVE’s center and visual, she’s not only dominating the stage but also ruling the commercial scene. In 2025 alone, she has been the face of major brands such as Woori Bank, Dyson, Dashing Diva, Binggrae, Barer, JIM BEAM, Malto, and New Balance.
Her group IVE recently wrapped up promotions for their fourth mini-album, IVE SECRET, and successfully held their first-ever three-day sold-out concert at the KSPO Dome — a feat few girl groups can claim.
At just 21, Jang Wonyoung has achieved what many only dream of — chart-topping success, global fame, and now, a luxury villa fit for royalty.
