Mumbai, October 25, 2025:
Bollywood actress Janhvi Kapoor moved audiences to tears as she recited a self-written poem dedicated to her late mother and legendary actress Sridevi during her appearance on the celebrity talk show Two Much with Kajol and Twinkle.
The episode, which featured a candid and emotional conversation, saw Janhvi reflecting on her relationship with her mother, her journey through grief, and the ways she still feels connected to Sridevi. The actress revealed that the poem was written during a moment of deep introspection and has since become a source of emotional strength for her.
During the show, Janhvi recited:
“Bachi thi phir achanak ek din woh haq kho diya,
Jo laad mangti thi usse muh mod liya,
Apni awaaz kho ke apni maa ki awaaz me baat karti hu,
Issi jariye me unke paas bhi rakhti hu.”
The powerful lines, which translate to her finding her mother’s voice within herself, left both the hosts and viewers deeply moved.
Speaking on the show, Janhvi said that she often feels her mother guiding her through life and that she strives to live up to the legacy Sridevi left behind. “Even though she’s not here physically, I feel her presence every time I step on a set,” she added.
