Vikas shared a warm reel on Instagram showing the actor couple learning how to make modaks, with the chef personally guiding them through the process. While Ranveer watched with childlike curiosity, Deepika rolled up her sleeves and attempted her very first modak, drawing smiles all around. The chef later fed the freshly prepared sweets to both of them, making the moment even more personal.
A celebration of success and tradition
In his post, Vikas described the evening as “the most blessed end to 2025,” revealing that the gathering was meant to celebrate Ranveer’s record-breaking Dhurandhar and Deepika’s first-ever modak. The restaurant was decorated with fresh flowers, and Vikas announced that guests visiting Bungalow would be served pomegranate and cardamom modaks as an auspicious start to 2026.
What made the moment even more emotional was the setting. Vikas shared that the modaks were prepared using moulds he had recently brought from the Siddhivinayak Temple, and that he was standing in front of his parents’ wedding photograph while doing so — a detail that added deep personal meaning to the celebration.
Ranveer–Deepika’s New York break
The couple has been spending time abroad with family, with fans spotting them across New York over the past week. During the same trip, Deepika also attended a Backstreet Boys concert in Las Vegas, ticking a long-time bucket list item and charming fans online.
