Veteran Bollywood actor Govinda has reportedly been admitted to CritiCare Hospital in Juhu, Mumbai, after fainting at his home late Tuesday night. The 61-year-old star is currently under medical observation, and doctors are conducting several tests to determine what caused the sudden spell.
According to a report by the Times of India, Govinda lost consciousness around midnight and was rushed to the hospital soon after. His condition is said to be stable, and he is being closely monitored by a team of specialists.
Just a day before the incident, Govinda was spotted visiting fellow veteran Dharmendra at Breach Candy Hospital. The actor, who appeared emotional, was seen driving himself to the hospital to check on his longtime colleague and friend.
Fans Express Concern, Hoping for His Speedy Recovery
News of Govinda’s hospitalisation has left fans concerned, with many taking to social media to send prayers and good wishes. Both Govinda and Dharmendra are beloved figures from Bollywood’s golden era, having worked together in multiple films during the late 1980s and early 1990s.
Fans may also remember that in October 2024, the actor had another health scare when his licensed revolver accidentally misfired, causing a minor injury to his knee. He was discharged after three days of treatment.
Awaiting His Comeback
Govinda, who last appeared on screen in the 2019 comedy Rangeela Raja, has kept a low profile in recent years. His fans, however, have been eagerly awaiting his big-screen comeback — or perhaps even a digital debut, with OTT platforms now embracing veteran stars in new and exciting roles.
For now, fans across India are united in one hope — that the Hero No. 1 star recovers quickly and returns to full health.
