Tamannaah Bhatia has once again proven that confidence is her best accessory. After her striking transformation in the song “Ghafoor” from Aryan Khan’s debut web series The Ba**ds of Bollywood* went viral, social media couldn’t stop talking about her new look. While some online trolls speculated that her transformation was due to Ozempic, fans were quick to defend the actress, praising her natural beauty and confidence.
Tamannaah on Growing Up in Front of the Camera
In an interview with Harper’s Bazaar India, the Baahubali actress reflected on her journey in the spotlight, explaining that her body type has always been naturally slender. “I’ve been in front of the camera since the age of 15 and people have literally seen me grow up. Till my late 20s, I had a slender frame — that was my body type. This body I have now isn’t new to me; I’ve always been like this,” she shared.
“A Woman’s Body Keeps Changing”
Tamannaah pointed out that while Hindi audiences might view her current body shape as a change, she’s always been aware of her natural build. “People need to understand that a woman’s body is always changing. Every five years, we see a different version of ourselves,” she said.
Pandemic Challenges and Self-Acceptance
The actress also admitted that maintaining her physique became more difficult during the pandemic. “Covid hit my body hard. I love food — rice, roti, dal — and it became harder to keep my weight the same as in my 20s,” she confessed. Tamannaah recalled moments of self-consciousness while facing the camera, saying, “I began to feel I don’t want to be conscious of my size anymore. At one point, my tummy was coming out, and I was like — what’s happening to my body?”
“My Curves Are Here to Stay”
Shutting down rumours of cosmetic aids or Ozempic use, Tamannaah explained that her body’s changes are natural. “Inflammation is real. Women’s bodies shift all the time. My curves are not going anywhere — I’m Sindhi, and that hip and waist are bone structure. I’ll never follow global beauty standards because it’s aspirational to be Indian. People love our curves, and it’s time we embrace that,” she declared with pride.
On the Work Front
Tamannaah was last seen in the web series Do You Wanna Partner, alongside Diana Penty, Nakuul Mehta, and Jaaved Jaaferi.
Final Words:
Tamannaah’s refreshing honesty about body image is a reminder that beauty doesn’t come from fitting into global moulds — it comes from self-acceptance. As she puts it, curves are not a flaw to hide but a strength to celebrate.
