Pamela Anderson has once again spoken candidly about the lingering discomfort surrounding Seth Rogen and Hulu’s controversial limited series Pam & Tommy — and this time, the setting was the Golden Globes.
During a recent SiriusXM radio interview with Andy Cohen, Anderson described being seated near Rogen at the awards ceremony as “yucky,” admitting the moment stirred unresolved feelings about the show that dramatized one of the most painful chapters of her life.
Why the Golden Globes Moment Felt Uncomfortable
Rogen had a big night at the Globes, winning two awards for Apple TV+’s The Studio — including Best Actor in a Comedy Series and Best Comedy Series. But for Anderson, the celebration came with emotional baggage.
According to her, Rogen was seated nearby in the audience, putting them in close proximity — something she wasn’t prepared for.
“He was in the pit at the Golden Globes. We were close,” Anderson said. “I felt weird about it. It just felt… yucky.”
She added that although she didn’t confront him directly, she did imagine telling him exactly how she felt.
Still Hurt by ‘Pam & Tommy’
At the heart of the tension is Pam & Tommy, which Rogen executive produced and also starred in as Rand Gauthier, the man who stole and leaked Anderson’s private sex tape with Tommy Lee.
Anderson has repeatedly stated she was never consulted about the series — a fact that continues to upset her.
“How can someone make a TV series out of difficult times in your life?” she asked. “I am a living, breathing human being over here.”
She went on to say that while fame often strips public figures of privacy, that doesn’t mean their deepest traumas should be treated as entertainment.
“Your darkest, deepest secrets or tragedies should not be fair game for a TV series,” she said. “That pissed me off a little bit.”
No Apology — Yet
Anderson admitted she still hopes Rogen will eventually reach out and apologize — even if it wouldn’t change much now.
“Eventually, hopefully, he will reach out to me to apologize,” she said. “Not that it matters.”
This isn’t the first time she’s voiced her anger. Speaking to Variety in 2023, Anderson bluntly referred to the creators of Pam & Tommy as “assholes,” calling the show “salt on the wound” and insisting she was owed a public apology.
A Career Moving Forward, But Old Wounds Remain
Despite the emotional weight of the moment, Anderson acknowledged she’s been in a strong place professionally, revealing she’s completed five films in the past year alone.
Still, she admitted that certain moments — like unexpectedly sharing space with Rogen at a high-profile event — can reopen old wounds.
“Sometimes it hits you,” she said. “You feel kind of down.”
Final Words
Pamela Anderson’s comments are a reminder that real people live behind pop-culture headlines. While Pam & Tommy earned critical acclaim and multiple Emmy nominations — including acting nods for Lily James, Sebastian Stan, and Rogen himself — the personal cost to its subject remains unresolved.
For Anderson, the story was never just entertainment. And years later, the discomfort still hasn’t faded.
