The actor took to Instagram with a strongly worded statement after discovering that scammers were reportedly using his identity to ask for payments in the name of bookings and personal interactions. Clearly furious over the situation, Ronit also made it very clear that legal action is already in motion.
In his social media statement, the actor revealed that the accused had been contacting people using a Zangi phone number and an email ID pretending to represent or directly be Ronit himself. He even publicly shared the details being used by the scammers so followers could stay alert and avoid falling victim. According to Ronit, the impersonators were allegedly attempting to convince people to send money while falsely promising bookings or interactions connected to the actor.
Ronit Roy Says “Cops Are Coming for You”
The warning posted by Ronit Roy carried a direct message aimed at the fraudsters themselves. “Cops are coming for you,” the actor wrote while confirming that police action was being pursued against those involved. He also stressed that neither he nor his official representatives would ever contact people privately asking for money or favors online.
Ronit especially warned women to remain cautious about anyone pretending to approach them in his name through social media or messaging platforms. He urged fans to immediately report suspicious interactions if they encounter anyone claiming to be him or his team. To further expose the scam, the actor reportedly shared screenshots of conversations where the accused could allegedly be seen asking users for payments while impersonating him.
