Right now, Jasmine Sandlas is everywhere — her voice, her songs, her vibe. With Dhurandhar and Dhurandhar 2: The Revenge turning into massive hits, the singer is clearly enjoying one of the biggest phases of her career. But behind all that success, she’s now talking about a much more personal story… one that wasn’t as glamorous.
In a recent chat on Ranveer Allahbadia’s podcast, Jasmine didn’t hold back. She spoke openly about a time in her life when things felt messy, confusing, and honestly, a bit broken.
Fame Was There… But So Was Chaos
Jasmine admitted that even when her career was taking off, her personal life wasn’t exactly stable. She talked about growing up figuring things out on her own, without always having the support system she needed.
She described those years as uncomfortable — not just in a casual way, but deeply unsettling. Fame was coming in, opportunities were opening up, but emotionally, things were piling up instead of settling down.
At one point, she found herself leaning too much into alcohol.
Not as a phase she’s proud of — but as something she now understands better. She admitted she drank more than she should have during that period and does regret it. But at the same time, she didn’t completely dismiss it either. For her, it was part of a phase where everything — family issues, personal loss, emotional confusion — hit all at once.
Childhood Still Leaves Marks, Even Years Later
One thing that stood out in her conversation was how she connected her adult struggles back to her childhood.
She spoke about emotional hurt from her early years — not in a blaming tone, but in a reflective way. According to her, when a child’s heart breaks, it doesn’t just heal and disappear. It stays somewhere inside.
And when you don’t feel like you have a safe place to return to, you start searching for that “home” in other things… sometimes in the wrong places. That’s something she feels she did for a long time.
It’s a pretty raw way of putting it — not polished, not filtered — just honest.
The Music Never Stopped Though
Even through all that, Jasmine never really stepped away from music.
From starting out with “Muskan” back in 2008 to collaborating with Bohemia on Gulabi, she kept building her space. But the real turning point came when she teamed up with Yo Yo Honey Singh for “Yaar Na Miley” in the Kick era. That track put her on a completely different level.
And now, with composer Shashwat Sachdev backing the music of Dhurandhar, her voice has once again become a major highlight.
Songs like “Shararat,” “Main Aur Tu,” “Jaiye Sajna,” and “Aari Aari” have connected strongly with listeners — and that’s a big reason the film’s album worked the way it did.
Dhurandhar’s Success Changed The Game Again
The success of Dhurandhar 2: The Revenge, starring Ranveer Singh and directed by Aditya Dhar, has only pushed Jasmine further into the spotlight.
The film itself is doing huge numbers, and the music has played a big role in that recall value. It’s not just background anymore — the songs are part of the film’s identity.
And Jasmine, in many ways, is right at the center of that.
Where She Stands Now
What makes this phase interesting is that Jasmine isn’t just celebrating success — she’s also acknowledging what it took to get here.
The struggles, the mistakes, the emotional baggage — she’s not hiding any of it. And maybe that’s why her story feels more real right now.
She’s still growing, still figuring things out… but this time, it feels like she’s doing it with more clarity than before.
