Ikkis Box Office Collection Day 12: Dharmendra’s Final Film Slips Below Rs 1 Cr on Second Monday

Ikkis Box Office Report

The box office journey of Ikkis continues to face turbulence as the film enters its second week in cinemas. Despite strong performances and emotional weight attached to veteran actor Dharmendra’s final on-screen appearance, the film is clearly struggling to find sustained momentum at the Indian box office.

Second Monday turns out rough for Ikkis

On Day 12, Ikkis failed to touch even the Rs 1 crore mark. According to early trade estimates, the film collected approximately Rs 35 lakh, making it one of its weakest single-day performances so far. With this, the film’s total India net collection stands at around Rs 29.15 crore.

The sharp drop comes during the crucial second Monday phase — a period that often determines whether a film can hold steady or fades out quickly. Unfortunately for Ikkis, the signs are not encouraging.

Occupancy remains low across shows

The film also struggled to attract audiences into theatres, registering an overall Hindi occupancy of just 9.54% on Day 12. Evening shows performed relatively better, clocking around 12.25% occupancy, followed by afternoon shows at 10.53%. Morning shows remained largely empty, with footfalls dropping to 5.85%.

These figures underline the film’s difficulty in pulling weekday crowds, despite decent weekend spikes earlier in its run.

Day-wise box office performance so far

Here’s how Ikkis has performed across its 12-day theatrical run:

  • Day 1: Rs 7 crore
  • Day 2: Rs 3.5 crore
  • Day 3: Rs 4.65 crore
  • Day 4: Rs 5 crore
  • Day 5: Rs 1.35 crore
  • Day 6: Rs 1.6 crore
  • Day 7: Rs 1.15 crore
  • Day 8: Rs 1.25 crore
  • Day 9: Rs 0.85 crore
  • Day 10: Rs 1.15 crore
  • Day 11: Rs 1.3 crore
  • Day 12: Rs 0.35 crore

Total after Day 12: Rs 29.15 crore

The numbers show a clear downward trend, especially after the first week buzz settled.

Strong cast, but limited pull

Directed by Sriram Raghavan, Ikkis stars Agastya Nanda and Jaideep Ahlawat in lead roles, alongside Simar Bhatia, Vivaan Shah, and Sikandar Kher. The film is co-written by Raghavan, Arijit Biswas, and Pooja Ladha Surti.

One of the film’s biggest emotional anchors is Dharmendra, whose posthumous appearance has drawn attention and respect. However, emotional resonance alone hasn’t translated into sustained ticket sales.

Critical reception vs box office reality

Interestingly, Ikkis has received a fairly positive critical response. The film earned a 3.5 out of 5 rating from critics, with praise directed toward its grounded storytelling, war backdrop, and performances.

Dharmendra’s restrained presence has been highlighted as a major strength, while Agastya Nanda has been appreciated for showing promise in a demanding role. However, despite solid intent and performances, the film’s niche subject and subdued tone appear to be limiting its mass appeal.

Final words

Ikkis may have the heart, performances, and sincerity of a well-crafted war drama, but box office numbers paint a tougher picture. With collections dipping sharply on Day 12 and occupancy staying under 10%, the film’s theatrical run now depends heavily on word-of-mouth and potential interest in the days ahead. While its legacy may lie more in storytelling than numbers, the film’s struggle highlights how even meaningful cinema can find it hard to survive in a crowded box office landscape.
