Karan Johar is bringing back one of Koffee With Karan’s most memorable questions, and Salman Khan has an equally cheeky response. In the latest promo for Season 9, released on October 13, the filmmaker revisits Salman’s famous 2013 virginity claim, setting the tone for the celebrity chat show’s final season.
Salman, who will open the new season on October 14, appears in a playful mood as he turns the tables on Karan.
During their conversation, Karan asks, “Are you still a virgin?”
Rather than answering directly, Salman smiles and replies, “Control, brother, Control.”
Salman Khan Revisits His Famous 2013 Confession
The exchange references Salman’s first appearance on Koffee With Karan in 2013, when he jokingly claimed to be a virgin and saving himself for marriage.
That confession became one of the show’s most widely discussed moments.
Thirteen years later, Karan has brought the question back for the programme’s farewell season. Salman’s evasive response keeps the exchange humorous without offering any serious revelation about his personal life.
The teaser also shows Salman taking Karan’s hosting chair and joking about launching Koffee With Salman.
He further questions whether Karan announced the show’s ending simply to persuade celebrities to appear.
What Else Does the Koffee With Karan 9 Promo Reveal?
Beyond the familiar jokes, the teaser hints at conversations about online trolling, paparazzi culture and Salman’s changing outlook on life.
When Karan remarks that Salman seems more composed, the actor jokes that it is time he started following his own advice.
Salman’s return also carries nostalgic significance. After his 2013 debut, he appeared in the show’s 100th episode in 2016 alongside brothers Arbaaz and Sohail Khan.
Koffee With Karan Season 9 premieres on October 14, 2026, at 7 PM on The Peacock Hub on JioHotstar.
With the show’s 22-year journey approaching its conclusion, bringing back one of its most memorable celebrity exchanges feels like a fitting way to begin the final season.
