The young actor has teamed up with filmmaker Ali Abbas Zafar for an ambitious romantic action entertainer backed by Yash Raj Films, and the project has now officially secured its theatrical release date. The announcement comes after months of speculation, with behind-the-scenes glimpses from the UK shoot already creating curiosity among fans eager to see Ahaan’s next chapter.
The untitled film brings together an ensemble cast featuring Sharvari, Bobby Deol and Aaishvary Thackeray alongside Ahaan. Positioned as a large-scale commercial entertainer, the project also reunites producer Aditya Chopra and Ali Abbas Zafar, a collaboration that has previously delivered some of Bollywood’s biggest box office hits.
Yash Raj Films Locks Good Friday 2027 Release
Aditya Chopra has scheduled the untitled romantic action drama for a March 26, 2027 theatrical release, coinciding with the Good Friday holiday weekend. The festive release window is often considered one of the strongest periods for Hindi films, giving the movie a valuable opportunity to attract audiences across multiplexes and single screens.
The film marks the fifth collaboration between Aditya Chopra and Ali Abbas Zafar after Mere Brother Ki Dulhan, Gunday, Sultan, and Tiger Zinda Hai. While Mere Brother Ki Dulhan earned appreciation as a romantic entertainer, Gunday, Sultan, and Tiger Zinda Hai emerged as major commercial successes, making expectations naturally high for their latest venture together.
Earlier, Ali Abbas Zafar had spoken about Ahaan Panday’s acting abilities while discussing the newcomer. Praising his approach to performance, the director said, “He doesn’t perform emotions, he feels them. And as a director, that’s a rare quality to find. The camera has a way of catching the truth, and with him, the truth is always there in his eyes.”
