The latest season of India’s Got Latent has generated plenty of conversation online, but not all of it has been about the contestants or celebrity guests. Soon after Alia Bhatt and Sharvari appeared on the show to promote Alpha, comedian Sunil Pal once again found himself commenting on host Samay Raina, reviving their long-running disagreement. During a recent interaction with paparazzi, Sunil didn’t hold back as he spoke about the comedian, the show’s style of humour, and even Alia’s appearance on the series.
The comedian, who has repeatedly criticised the language and content used on India’s Got Latent, claimed he was once approached to be part of the show but chose to walk away. His latest remarks have once again sparked debate among fans of both comedians across social media.
Sunil Pal Says He Rejected A ₹25 Lakh Offer
Speaking to the paparazzi, Sunil Pal claimed that Samay Raina had personally reached out to invite him onto India’s Got Latent. According to Sunil, he was offered ₹25 lakh to appear on the show but declined because he was unwilling to participate in comedy that relied on abusive language.
“No, he had spoken to me and said he would give me ₹25 lakh. I said I wouldn’t cuss. He said, don’t do it, but we would be doing that,” Sunil said.
During the same interaction, Sunil was also asked about Alia Bhatt’s recent appearance on the Netflix series. Responding in his trademark comic style, he delivered another one-liner that quickly began circulating online.
“Jahan jahan hai Alia, wahan wahan hai gaaliyan. Bajado taaliyan. Warna sapne main aayega Vijay Mallya.”
The remark instantly grabbed attention on social media, with clips from the paparazzi interaction spreading across multiple platforms. While some viewers treated it as a joke, others questioned why Alia had been dragged into an ongoing dispute between two comedians.
Samay Raina And Sunil Pal’s Feud Continues
The exchange comes shortly after India’s Got Latent Season 2 premiered, where Samay Raina revisited one of his old jokes aimed at Sunil Pal. The comedian once again referred to his famous “aap brush kyun nahi karte?” line, bringing their public rivalry back into focus.
Sunil didn’t let the joke pass unanswered. In a video featuring Jay Verma, he responded directly to Samay with another sharp punchline.
“Bhai, main brush nahi karta hoon tune aisa mujhe bola tha na? Par Samay Raina tu toh brush karta hai, tere muh se itni gandagi kyun nikalti hai bhai?”
Their disagreement has been ongoing since last year when Sunil openly criticised the style of comedy featured on India’s Got Latent. He argued that comedians should focus more on clean humour and even suggested Samay could learn from Kapil Sharma’s approach to entertaining audiences without relying heavily on profanity.
Samay later addressed those comments during his stand-up special Still Alive, where he described Sunil as “insecure” and “frustrated.” He also claimed that Kapil Sharma himself had expressed interest in appearing on India’s Got Latent, adding another chapter to their ongoing public exchange.
Alia Bhatt’s Appearance Creates Buzz
Amid the controversy, Alia Bhatt and Sharvari recently visited India’s Got Latent as part of the promotional campaign for their action thriller Alpha. Their episode quickly became one of the most talked-about releases of the season, with several behind-the-scenes clips also going viral across social media.
Alpha, starring Alia Bhatt, Sharvari, Bobby Deol and Anil Kapoor, arrived in theatres on Friday and marks the latest addition to the YRF Spy Universe. While the film continues its theatrical run, discussions surrounding the promotional episode of India’s Got Latent have ensured the show remains in the spotlight for reasons beyond entertainment.
With neither Sunil Pal nor Samay Raina showing any signs of backing down, their long-running rivalry appears far from over. Each new comment continues to fuel fresh reactions online, making their public exchanges almost as closely followed as the projects they’re promoting.
