Teyana Taylor is opening up — just a little — about her relationship with actor Aaron Pierre.
In a new interview with The Hollywood Reporter, the 34-year-old singer, actress, and fashion icon sweetly referred to Pierre, 31, as “my apple pie,” while describing their bond as one built on comfort and trust.
“That’s my apple pie, and we are each other’s safe space,” Taylor said, smiling when asked about the Rebel Ridge actor.
The A Thousand and One star, however, declined to officially label their relationship, saying she prefers to keep things private.
“If that’s something that I decide to say,” she explained, “then it’s going to be something that we say together.”
A Relationship Fans Love
The couple first sparked dating rumors in early 2025, before confirming their romance in June after months of playful social media interactions. Their chemistry was undeniable when they made their red carpet debut at the September premiere of One Battle After Another, where Pierre later told Men’s Health that walking beside Taylor “was a joy” and “so easy because I was supporting someone I love.”
British-born Pierre first caught attention for his role in The Underground Railroad and more recently starred in Mufasa: The Lion King and Rebel Ridge. The pair also worked together on Taylor’s visual album Escape Room, in which they played lovers on screen.
A Power Couple in the Making
Earlier this year, Taylor went viral after posting a cheeky Instagram Story of herself dancing in front of a London store billboard featuring Pierre’s BOSS campaign — a video that, as she revealed, was filmed by Pierre himself.
Beyond her romance, 2025 has been a massive year for Taylor. She’s returned to music, starred in One Battle After Another and Straw, and appears in the Hulu legal drama All’s Fair alongside Kim Kardashian and Naomi Watts.
Still, she admits she’s learning to find balance.
“It’s about learning to not bite the bait,” she told THR. “When people know that you’re sensitive to something, they’ll poke and poke. I want to be careful with my words because every time I say something, it’s always misconstrued.”
The mother of two added,
“I respect every set I’m on. I respect the people I work with. And I ask for respect of my time off. I need to be with my babies.”
What’s Next for Teyana
Taylor’s star continues to rise — One Battle After Another is in theaters now, while All’s Fair began streaming on Hulu on November 4. She’s also set to appear in Matt Damon and Ben Affleck’s The Rip and the upcoming comedy 72 Hours.
Whether or not she and Aaron Pierre go public with more details, it’s clear Teyana is embracing this new chapter with love, balance, and confidence.
