Sunjay Kapur Estate Feud Escalates as Sister Mandhira Accuses Priya Sachdev of Taking ₹5 Cr a Month

Priya Sachdev Kapur

The legal battle surrounding late industrialist Sunjay Kapur’s estate has taken a sharp personal turn. His sister Mandhira Kapur has publicly pushed back against claims made by Sunjay’s widow Priya Sachdev Kapur, accusing her of drawing ₹3–5 crore every month from the family business — while alleging their mother, Rani Kapur, is being paid far less.

The remarks came during Mandhira’s appearance on the InControversial podcast, where she addressed Priya’s recent statements made during court proceedings.

Mandhira Kapur Responds to Priya’s Court Claim

Priya Sachdev’s legal team recently told the court that Rani Kapur continues to receive over ₹21 lakh per month from AIPL, the holding firm of auto major Sona Comstar, with her personal expenses being taken care of — similar to arrangements when Sunjay was alive.

Mandhira strongly disputed this version.

“There is a difference between blood and an outsider,” she said, arguing that her mother’s current income is being misrepresented. According to Mandhira, after tax and deductions, Rani Kapur now receives around ₹12 lakh per month, down from ₹21 lakh earlier.

“It is shameful,” Mandhira added, “that the creator of the company is getting ₹12 lakh.”

‘The Outsider Is Getting ₹3–5 Crore a Month’

Escalating her attack, Mandhira claimed that Priya Sachdev is the one benefiting disproportionately from the company’s finances.

“She is getting close to ₹3–5 crore every month,” Mandhira alleged. “₹1 crore from just one company — she has taken over everything. The creator of the company gets ₹12 lakh, and the outsider gets ₹5 crore.”

She further dismissed Priya’s suggestion that she was “looking after” Rani Kapur, saying the money was coming from the company, not as a personal favour.

“She is not the face of the family or the company,” Mandhira said. “She shouldn’t even be around.”

The Larger Legal Battle Over Sunjay Kapur’s Estate

The public war of words comes amid an ongoing Delhi High Court case involving Sunjay Kapur’s children from his marriage to Karisma KapoorSamaira and Kiaan — who, along with their representatives, are contesting the will presented by Priya Sachdev.

The children have alleged that the will is forged and fabricated, accusing Priya of attempting to exclude them from their late father’s multibillion-rupee estate. Both sides have traded serious allegations during multiple court hearings.

What began as a legal dispute over inheritance has now spilled into the public domain, with emotions, money, and legacy colliding head-on. As court proceedings continue, the Kapur family feud is only growing louder — and more personal — with each passing statement.
