The Office of the Chief Minister of Assam announced Kartik Aaryan’s contribution through its official X account on Thursday. Sharing the update, the government expressed gratitude for the actor’s assistance, describing it as an important contribution to the state’s ongoing relief operations.
The official post read, “Gratitude to actor @TheAaryanKartik for his generous contribution of ₹1 Crore to the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund. HCM Dr. @himantabiswa appreciated his commendable gesture and timely support toward state relief measures.”
Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma also thanked Kartik through his personal X account. “Truly heartened by your generous contribution, @TheAaryanKartik. Your support will go a long way in helping the people of Assam #AssamFloods,” he wrote.

Floods continue to affect lakhs across Assam
Despite a slight improvement in the number of affected people compared to previous days, the flood situation in Assam remains serious. According to the Assam State Disaster Management Authority (ASDMA), two more people, including a child, lost their lives in Sivasagar district over the past 24 hours due to flood-related drowning incidents. The death toll from this year’s floods has now risen to 80.
Official figures indicate that around 2.12 lakh people continue to be affected across Charaideo, Golaghat, Jorhat and Sivasagar districts. Charaideo remains the worst-hit district, with nearly 80,000 displaced residents, followed by Sivasagar with more than 71,000 affected people and Jorhat with approximately 40,000.
Although the overall number of affected residents has dropped from more than three lakh reported a day earlier, large-scale relief operations remain underway. The state government has established 112 relief and relief distribution camps, currently sheltering 75,583 displaced people.
Rescue and rehabilitation efforts are being carried out by multiple agencies, including the Indian Army, National Disaster Response Force (NDRF), State Disaster Response Force (SDRF), Fire and Emergency Services, the police and district administrations. These teams continue to evacuate stranded residents, deliver essential supplies and restore normalcy in the flood-affected regions.
With monsoon conditions still posing challenges in several parts of Assam, relief work is expected to continue in the coming days. Kartik Aaryan’s contribution adds to the growing support for those affected, highlighting how public figures and citizens alike are coming together to assist communities during one of the state’s most difficult periods this year.
