68th Grammy Awards: All Winners and Nominees, Bad Bunny Makes Grammy History While Kendrick Lamar Dominates

68th Grammy Awards
Instagram

The 68th Annual Grammy Awards delivered spectacle, surprises, and more than a few emotional speeches, but the defining moment of the night belonged to Bad Bunny. The global superstar took home Album of the Year for DeBÍ TiRAR MáS FOToS, becoming the first artist in Grammy history to win the top prize with a Spanish-language album.

It was a win that felt long overdue — not just for Bad Bunny, but for Latin music’s growing global influence.

An Emotional Win That Spoke Volumes

Clearly overwhelmed, Bad Bunny delivered much of his acceptance speech in Spanish, staying rooted in the language and culture that define his music. Earlier in the night, the album had already won Best Música Urbana Album, reinforcing its dominance across categories.

During that earlier speech, the artist made a brief but pointed call for love over hate, opening with “ICE out” — a moment that echoed similar sentiments shared by several artists throughout the night.

A Night Dominated by Big Names and Bigger Moments

The Grammys spread the love across genres. Kendrick Lamar won Record of the Year for “luther” featuring SZA, and also picked up Best Rap Album for GNX, officially breaking Jay-Z’s long-standing record for the most Grammy wins by a rapper.

Olivia Dean was named Best New Artist, while Billie Eilish and Finneas O’Connell won Song of the Year for “Wildflower.”

The ceremony unfolded across the Premiere Ceremony at the Peacock Theater and the primetime telecast from Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles, hosted for the sixth and final time by Trevor Noah.

Why This Grammy Night Will Be Remembered

Between Bad Bunny’s historic win, Kendrick Lamar’s record-breaking run, and a ceremony that openly reflected cultural and political conversations, the 68th Grammys felt like a turning point rather than just another awards show.

Spanish-language music didn’t just show up — it won the biggest prize of the night.

Final Words:
Bad Bunny’s Album of the Year victory isn’t just a trophy moment — it’s a signal that the Grammys are finally catching up with the global music audience. Language, genre, and geography no longer define the limits of success. And if this night proved anything, it’s that the future of music is bigger, louder, and more inclusive than ever.
