Six weeks in, and Dhurandhar is still standing tall at the Indian box office. Headlined by Ranveer Singh and Akshaye Khanna, the film has wrapped up another solid week in theatres, crossing the Rs 25 crore mark in its sixth week — a rare feat in today’s crowded release calendar.
Even with fresh competition pouring in, Dhurandhar continues to show remarkable staying power, quietly inching closer to one of the biggest box office milestones in Indian cinema.
Week 6 Box Office Performance
According to Sacnilk estimates, Dhurandhar earned around Rs 3 crore on Thursday, pushing its Week 6 total to approximately Rs 26.35 crore. While the numbers reflect a natural slowdown compared to earlier weeks, the film has still managed to hold screens and audiences alike.
Notably, Week 6 collections are roughly 50 percent lower than Week 5, which is expected at this stage of a theatrical run — especially with multiple big releases hitting cinemas simultaneously.
‘Dhurandhar’ Week-Wise India Net Collections
Here’s how the film has performed week after week:
- Week 1: Rs 207.25 crore
- Week 2: Rs 253.25 crore
- Week 3: Rs 172 crore
- Week 4: Rs 106.5 crore
- Week 5: Rs 51.25 crore
- Week 6: Rs 26.35 crore
The film peaked in Week 2, an extremely rare phenomenon that underlined strong word-of-mouth and repeat audiences.
Competition Didn’t Stop the Momentum
When Dhurandhar released on December 5, it enjoyed an almost uncontested run at the box office. As weeks passed, however, new titles began entering the fray — including Avatar: Fire and Ash, Tu Meri Main Tera Main Tera Tu Meri, Ikkis, and The Raja Saab.
Despite this crowded landscape, Dhurandhar continued to outperform newer releases on most days, proving its appeal went beyond opening-week hype.
Net Collections: A Record-Breaking Run
With Rs 816.60 crore in net Indian collections, Dhurandhar has now officially become the highest-earning single-language film in Indian box office history — a significant achievement in an era dominated by pan-India, multi-language releases.
This distinction alone places the film in a category few have managed to reach.
Gross India Total Nears Rs 1,000 Crore
On the gross front, Dhurandhar has amassed around Rs 979 crore in India so far. The film now needs just Rs 20–25 crore more to cross the Rs 1,000 crore gross milestone domestically.
Once it does, it will surpass KGF Chapter 2, which currently holds the third spot with a gross of Rs 1000.85 crore. Ahead of it remain only Baahubali 2 and Pushpa 2, occupying the second and first positions respectively.
Strong Overseas Performance Boosts Worldwide Numbers
The film’s overseas run has been equally impressive. Dhurandhar has collected an estimated Rs 293 crore from international markets, pushing its worldwide total to approximately Rs 1,272.85 crore.
This global performance has further cemented the film’s status as one of the biggest theatrical successes of recent times.
Facing ‘The Raja Saab’ Head-On
This week, Dhurandhar faced its toughest challenge yet with the arrival of The Raja Saab, starring Prabhas. The new release had a strong opening week, earning around Rs 130 crore.
While The Raja Saab outperformed Dhurandhar in Week 6 collections, the comparison highlights just how massive Ranveer Singh’s film truly is. Dhurandhar’s Rs 207 crore opening week still towers over most recent releases.
Final Words
At six weeks and counting, Dhurandhar has moved far beyond being just a box office hit — it’s now a benchmark. With Rs 1,000 crore gross within touching distance and records already shattered, the film’s theatrical journey feels less like a run and more like a statement.
If the current pace holds, Dhurandhar is set to rewrite yet another chapter in Indian box office history — and it may do so sooner than expected.
