Director Sriram Raghavan’s war drama Ikkis has stepped into its second week at the box office, but the momentum appears to be tapering off. Headlined by Agastya Nanda, the film earned around ₹1.35 crore on Day 8, taking its total India net collection to approximately ₹25.6 crore.
While the first week offered a respectable start, the second week is shaping up to be a tougher test — both commercially and competitively.
A decent first week, followed by a noticeable dip
Despite releasing alongside heavyweights like Dhurandhar and Avatar: Fire and Ash, Ikkis managed to pull in nearly ₹24 crore during its opening week. However, industry tracker Sacnilk reports that the film hasn’t been able to sustain that early pace.
On its eighth day in theatres, collections hovered in the low range, reflecting softer footfalls and limited weekday traction.
Screens, shows, and rising competition
Ikkis opened with 2,343 shows nationwide, benefitting initially from screens earlier allocated to Dhurandhar — both films being backed by Jio Studios. Since release, the film has reportedly lost around 250 shows, now playing on just over 2,000 screens across the country.
As it heads into its second weekend, the pressure is mounting further with the arrival of The Raja Saab, starring pan-India draw Prabhas. While Hindi and Telugu markets don’t fully overlap, Prabhas’ fan-driven openings often pull crowds across regions — something that could dent Ikkis’ already fragile numbers.
Occupancy tells a cautious story
The film’s Day 8 overall occupancy averaged 9.55%, which is on the lower side for a title still early in its theatrical run.

A crucial phase for Agastya Nanda and Simar Bhatia
For Agastya Nanda, Ikkis marks an important step in carving out an identity beyond the towering Bachchan legacy. The actor has previously stated that his immediate focus is making his father Nikhil Nanda proud, before worrying about the expectations attached to his famous surname.
The film also introduces Simar Bhatia as the female lead. Akshay Kumar’s niece has already received public praise from Akshay Kumar and filmmaker Karan Johar, even though the box office response remains muted.
Strong ensemble, but box office hurdles remain
Apart from the newcomers, Ikkis features an experienced supporting cast including Dharmendra, Jaideep Ahlawat, Asrani, Rahul Dev, Zakir Hussain, Vivaan Shah, and Sikandar Kher.
The film is inspired by the life of Second Lieutenant Arun Khetarpal, a Param Vir Chakra awardee, giving it strong emotional and patriotic weight — though that hasn’t fully translated into sustained footfalls yet.
