The much-anticipated Sandeep Reddy Vanga–Prabhas film Spirit has officially kicked off with a traditional mahurat ceremony on Sunday. Director Sandeep and leading lady Tripti Dimri were present for the rituals, but fans immediately noticed one major absence — Prabhas himself was nowhere to be seen in the pictures shared by the team.
Chiranjeevi Graces the Ceremony as Chief Guest
Megastar Chiranjeevi attended the event as the chief guest, joining producer Bhushan Kumar and the film’s cast and crew. Photos shared by the team showed Chiranjeevi holding the ceremonial clapboard with Bhushan Kumar, while Sandeep and Tripti stood beside them. Senior actors Prakash Raj and Vivek Oberoi, who are also part of the project, were not spotted in the visuals released so far.
The images were shared by the film’s official X account, which thanked Chiranjeevi for blessing the launch of what they called “India’s Biggest Superstar Prabhas’ Spirit.”
Fans Ask: Where Is Prabhas?
The absence of the Spirit lead naturally sparked discussions online. Many fans questioned whether Prabhas stayed away from the photoshoot to avoid leaking his look from the film. Comments ranged from excitement about the Vanga–Prabhas collaboration to curiosity about his character design.
One fan wrote, “Where is Prabhas?” while another added, “Waiting for his look — this combo is going to be explosive.”
What We Know About ‘Spirit’ So Far
Last month, Sandeep Reddy Vanga dropped an audio teaser to celebrate Prabhas’ birthday, offering the first taste of the film’s tone. The clip featured a tense exchange between a jailer and his assistant discussing an ex-cop in remand. Toward the end, Prabhas’ intense voiceover teased his character with the line, “Since childhood, I have one bad habit.”
According to early details, Prabhas plays a police officer, while Tripti Dimri takes on the female lead after replacing Deepika Padukone in the project. The film is slated for a 2026 release and is being jointly produced by T-Series and Vanga’s Bhadrakali Pictures, as reported by the production team.
