Vidyut Jammwal and Tiger Shroff are preparing to join forces for an ambitious action film, but the project still needs a director capable of matching their expectations. Backed by T-Series, the untitled film aims to deliver a large-scale action spectacle that appeals to audiences beyond India.
Speaking exclusively to Variety India, Jammwal revealed that both actors share the ambition of creating one of the country’s biggest action entertainers.
Vidyut Jammwal Wants a Director Who Can Elevate Indian Action
Jammwal explained that bringing two established action stars together isn’t enough to guarantee an extraordinary film.
“We are only looking for a director who can really take action to the next level,” he said.
The actor emphasised that the filmmaker must combine spectacular action with emotional depth and meaningful storytelling while making effective use of both performers.
His comments suggest that the creative team wants something more substantial than a conventional action film built around elaborate fight sequences.
Why Vidyut Jammwal and Tiger Shroff’s Collaboration Matters
Jammwal and Shroff have established themselves through physically demanding performances, martial arts and stunt-driven action films.
Jammwal is recognised for the Commando franchise and recently made his Hollywood debut as Dhalsim in Street Fighter. Shroff, meanwhile, has built his action-star reputation through the Baaghi films and War.
Their collaboration offers an opportunity to combine two distinctive fighting styles within one story.
Interestingly, earlier reports had linked filmmakers including Anubhav Sinha to the project. However, Jammwal’s latest remarks indicate that the director’s involvement remains unresolved.
The film’s official title, storyline, production schedule and release date have not been announced.
For now, the central challenge isn’t assembling an action-heavy cast but finding a filmmaker who can transform their combined abilities into a compelling cinematic experience.
