Drishyam 3: The Conclusion has turned its first weekend into a franchise-level box-office event. The Ajay Devgn-led thriller has grossed approximately ₹272.8 crore worldwide in its first three days, putting the film within touching distance of the ₹300 crore mark after just one weekend.
The worldwide figure consists of approximately ₹211.8 crore gross from India and ₹61 crore from overseas markets, according to Sacnilk’s completed weekend estimates. The film’s India net collection stands at about ₹176.5 crore through Sunday, October 4.
There is a small variation between box-office trackers. Bollywood Hungama estimates the worldwide weekend closer to ₹275 crore, including roughly ₹213 crore from India and ₹63 crore internationally. For that reason, the safest way to describe the completed opening weekend is roughly ₹273-275 crore worldwide.
Either way, Vijay Salgaonkar has returned on a scale the Hindi Drishyam franchise has never seen before.
Drishyam 3’s three-day worldwide collection explained
The film opened on October 2, 2026, benefiting from the Gandhi Jayanti holiday in India, and immediately delivered the biggest opening day of Ajay Devgn’s career.
Its India net collection was reported at ₹62 crore on Friday, followed by ₹53.5 crore on Saturday and a Sunday jump to ₹61 crore. That gives the film approximately ₹176.5 crore net in India across its first weekend.
Once taxes are included, India’s gross rises to roughly ₹211.8 crore. Add the ₹61 crore earned internationally and the worldwide total reaches ₹272.8 crore.
The breakdown after three days therefore stands at:
India net: ₹176.5 crore
India gross: ₹211.8 crore
Overseas: ₹61 crore
Worldwide gross: ₹272.8 crore
The overseas result deserves particular attention. Pinkvilla estimates the international weekend at about $6.1 million, or ₹58 crore, another example of the small differences that can appear between trackers because of exchange rates, reporting schedules and territory estimates. It nevertheless describes the result as Ajay Devgn’s biggest overseas opening weekend.
It has already earned nearly 80% of Drishyam 2’s lifetime total
Perhaps the clearest way to understand the scale of the opening is to compare it with the previous Hindi film.
Drishyam 2, released in 2022, eventually finished with approximately ₹345.05 crore worldwide, including ₹286.36 crore gross from India and ₹58.69 crore overseas, according to Bollywood Hungama.
At ₹272.8 crore, The Conclusion has already earned approximately 79% of Drishyam 2’s entire worldwide collection in only three days.
It has also already surpassed Drishyam 2’s ₹58.69 crore lifetime overseas total according to Sacnilk’s ₹61 crore estimate, though the Pinkvilla estimate of ₹58 crore places it essentially level with that benchmark. The final reconciled international numbers should make that comparison clearer.
That is a far more meaningful franchise comparison than simply noting that the third film had a bigger opening. Drishyam 2 was already a major theatrical success; The Conclusion is approaching its predecessor’s full global business before completing its first Monday.
₹300 crore worldwide should be the next milestone
With the completed weekend sitting around ₹273-275 crore, the film needs only approximately ₹25-27 crore more worldwide to reach ₹300 crore.
Monday’s full global numbers are not yet complete, so partial Day 4 India figures should not be mixed with the finalized three-day worldwide total. Live estimates already show the India net collection continuing to rise on October 5, but the cleaner comparison remains the completed Friday-to-Sunday opening weekend.
The film has also given Devgn the biggest opening weekend of his career, comfortably demonstrating how much the Drishyam brand has expanded since the Hindi series began in 2015.
Directed by Abhishek Pathak, Drishyam: The Conclusion brings Devgn back as Vijay Salgaonkar alongside Shriya Saran, Tabu and Ishita Dutta, with Jaideep Ahlawat and Prakash Raj among the major names in the new chapter.
The more interesting box-office question is therefore no longer whether Drishyam 3 will reach ₹300 crore worldwide. Barring an extraordinary collapse, that milestone is extremely close.
The real target is now ₹345.05 crore, the complete worldwide total of Drishyam 2. If The Conclusion maintains even a reasonable weekday hold, Vijay Salgaonkar’s final Hindi chapter could pass its predecessor within its first week rather than over the course of an entire theatrical run.
